DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION OF ABSTRACTS AND VIDEOS :
Saturday 12th of October 2024 – 23:59 (CEST)
Presentations must meet current standards of independence, transparency and confidentiality, comply strictly with legislative and regulatory provisions relating to the promotion of health products and not quote the trade name of any medicinal product. Authors remain solely responsible for the content of the data they communicate and, in general, for the lawful and reliable nature of the data they present.
With regard to abstracts already submitted to international congresses, we accept for submission to JFHOD only those that have not yet been published or accepted for publication.
As a reminder, clinical cases are not accepted.
The 1st author is the person who will present the work if it is accepted. They must therefore be French-speaking. He/she alone will receive all notifications concerning his/her abstract (acceptance, rejection, etc.).
IMPORTANT: all authors and co-authors must declare and/or update their links of interest before Sunday 3 November 2024 (CET). This declaration can be made via the My JFHOD space on the www.jfhod.com website.
To simplify the procedure, a person who is the author or co-author of several abstracts or videos only needs to make one declaration of links of interest. This declaration is automatically associated with the author for all the abstracts with which he/she is associated.
If your abstract is accepted (plenary session, oral communication or poster communication), paid registration and the presence of the 1st French-speaking author are compulsory.
Please note that only the 100 best posters will be displayed during the 4 days of the congress, in addition to their electronic version. The Organizing Committee will be responsible for printing them, delivering them to the Palais des Congrès in Paris and displaying them. The other posters will only be available in electronic format on the conference's digital platform.
INSTRUCTIONS TO AUTHORS FOR WRITING ABSTRACTS
1- Anonymity must be fully preserved during electronic submission. Please also preserve it in the text of the abstract by refraining from quoting the origin of the work and references to previous work by the team: geographical location, nationality, name of a structure, or any other indication that would prevent complete anonymity, in the titles or texts of the abstracts submitted.
2- The title and abstract must be written entirely in French.
The abstract should be structured according to the following recommendations:
- an introduction (unambiguously stating the reasons for and purpose of the work)
- a Patients and Methods or Materials and Methods chapter (short but precise)
- a Results chapter (the most important part of your abstract, justifying the longest developments)
- a very short discussion chapter (optional)
- a conclusion explaining what is new and original about the results
- acknowledgements, funding, other (optional)
- references (optional)
3- Abstract length:
- the maximum number of characters is 4250 (including spaces)
- the maximum number of lines is 59 (excluding paragraph headings)
4- You may include a table, diagram or figure, provided that the whole remains legible and supports the reduction. However, no photographs will be accepted.
5- Your abstract will be submitted anonymously to the reading committee.
The committee reserves the right to reject any document that does not comply with the formatting rules or is of insufficient scientific interest.
6- It is formally discouraged to split a work into several abstracts.
However, if this were the case, the reading committee would choose the abstract it considered most interesting and systematically reject the others.
7- The text of the abstract may be published in full in paper, electronic or other format
There is no maximum number of authors accepted for the submission of an abstract to the JFHOD. The main thing is to remain ‘reasonable’.
